Error 803?
My sims randomly updated to legacy. I've removed all my mods to see if I can just slowly update them, but even without having the mods in the folder I get an error 803 trying to load any save files. ...
@scoptic_sims Please provide your computer's dxdiag and attach it to the paper clip in the lower right of the response window.
Here you go 🙂
@scoptic_sims First this game does some post video card video processing which in my opinion interferes with dual monitors. I think this is a device driver issue as this issue sometimes goes away by trying different versions of the graphics driver. The next thing I notice is the free space on your system storage device is very low. This game tends to create large temp files. 3D graphical games tend to use a lot of system resources. These are finite and IMO the use of dual monitors and the low free space is causing issues with virtual memory - just one possibility. With the prices of ssds today becoming reasonable, there is no reason to have anything less then a 500Gb system device. Windows creates many temp files while it is running. A low density is probably good in a business/student computer but IMO is not a good fit in a gaming rig. First thing try the game with one monitor if that doesn't work I would recommend a larger system storage device.
My game ran fine before the update with my two monitors however. ☹️ I will try the 1 when I get home, but not sure what changed to make it this way.
I fiddled with it more last night, it seems the main thing is that it's not reading the mod folder.
Yeah its still not reading the mod folder for me. ☹️
