Are you only using defender or any other security software as well ? Have you tried if it works if you turn controlled folder access off completely (for testing ?)

@sclina Merged your thread. Are you using anything else but defender ?

Hello @crinrict, I am only using Windows Defender.

    @sclina could you try starting origin as administrator and then start sims 4 from there ?

    What language are you playing the game in ?

      @crinrict  I tried doing that and it's still just giving me the error message. I'm playing the game in German, but I already tried changing the language to English and Spanish but also no success.

        @sclina When you tried renaming, did the game generate a new folder at all ?
