Exactly as the title says, ever since I updated my game (I've been playing offline since last Dec), my game has been showing me a black screen, with the background and sim only showing when I want to exit CAS
I've tried doing the 50/50 method, completely removing cc/mods, repairing the game, and deleting the localthumbcache
fp_2512 Did you remove the entire Mods folder? Please do so if you haven't already. Additionally, remove any files inside ConfigOverride in the same Sims 4 folder.
If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether CAS works properly now.
