error code 256 sims 4 saving error

please help - keep getting error message 256 in sims 4. i can't play the game right now. everytime i attemp to save or change locations i lose progress and/or lots. for the first several weeks of game play i had no issues but now i can't use the game. please help.

    Here are a few things that you can try:

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Origin (Your games will still be installed and all that)

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling the Sims 4

    • Repairing the Sims 4 via Origin (Right-click the Sims 4 in your game library and click "Repair Game")

    • Clear the Sims 4 cache

    • Clear Origin's cache
