error message not expanded to ops

while trying to build on VIII Landgraab it won't let me delete walls that are not attached to the outside. I can't demolish the lot ( it will load continuously and I have to shut down the whole game). some items are saying nothing to be deleted when it is obviously there. While trying to delete a wall it says " not expanded to ops".
