tracysjewel Please check your antivirus for any recent actions involving Sims 4. Despite the text of the error message, this is most commonly associated with an antivirus blocking the game, especially on computers that had no trouble running it previously.
If you don't see anything from your antivirus, let me know which one you use, in case there's something going on with that software in particular.
Please also provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
