I've been having the same issue for a few days now. Nothing I've done has helped. Is this a common thing on this game?
I get the same pop-up message even after allowing those exeptions (see attached picture), + cache cleanse + allowing Sims 4 (which was allowed by my Avast from the start.)
I'm on a Windows 10 computer, with Avast Free Antivirus.@Radioskugga Does it help to (temporarily) disable Avast, then repair again? Avast has been particularly difficult lately, at least when it comes to Sims 4.
If that doesn't help, do you see anything further if you click on the little boxes next to the word Program in that first screenshot? I'd like to know if there's a specific subfolder the App is trying to create within the game's program files, and where it is.

I hawe this exact problem as described in the first post (obviously on PC, Windows, and no mods or CC that does cause this, all updates are installed, etc) it is NOT an external popup window and it does NOT hawe any wisible signature made by avast or anything like that, it all worked perfect for me until today, and i hawe always used avast on this computer. I hawe tried multiple times, restarted, reloaded, etc, but the problem remain.
Dearest friend,
I, too, have faced such a quandary and discovered a remedy most efficacious: the simple act of restarting one’s trusty pc. Upon restarting, I initiated the repair in the EA app. Verily, it worked like a charm.
@mizzarrogh Please test with Avast disabled, tempoarily, and let me know whether it helps.
