ch33s3ba111 This update is not defective; plenty of people are playing it without the errors you describe. It's more likely that something on your system is blocking the game from working properly. The first suspect is your antivirus, so please check it for recent actions involving Sims 4.
The other main culprit is OneDrive, but only if your user folder is stored inside a OneDrive folder. To check, please open the game and find the full path to the user folder, as described here:

What do I do with the user folder if it is in my OneDrive? Move it somewhere else? Also, others have described having problems specifically after the Feb 3rd update so I referred to it as a defective version of the game.
