Delay between click
Ever since the Sept update my game has been very glitchy and lagging. When I click on objects and other sims there is a huge delay before the actions actually come up and some of the actions just do not work or when they are almost finished with the action it glitches and they do the tpose and just stand there and it doesn't finish the task. I've updated mods, deleted mods, and tried the game without ANY mods and the problem is the same.
EC:204 when trying to play offline
I, like many others, am running into the "the game license has expired" error when trying to play offline despite owning this game for the better part of 7 years. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps and it reached the point where EA support told me to post here so...here I am.
Permissions error
I was playing The Sims 4 normally this morning, now it is saying it needs to be "repaired" and every time it downloads and prepares to "Repair" it says Permissions Error and I'm not able to do anything else. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the game and the same problem occurs. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance
Problems with starting The Sims 4
Hi everyone, I tried to start the game but it always displays a window (I'll attach a photo to this post) and The Sims 4 doesn't start. I tried to restart the game or repair it, but nothing has changed. I would like to avoid uninstalling the game to not lose the downloaded expansions, is there another way?
Problem with loading my save after the update:
I have an issue where, after the recent update, I’m unable to load my main save. The loading screen keeps going endlessly, and the game doesn’t actually load. I’ve tried turning off mods, repairing the game through Origin, and other basic fixes, but nothing has worked. However, when I start a new game, everything loads fine, and I can play without any issues.(I don't have the features of the parcel) I’d really like to continue playing my old save instead of starting a new game. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a solution? Any help would be appreciated!
Update problems / General issues
Since I updated the game, I have not been able to save with save and exit or normal save it worked once but now I just get stuck in the screen, I haven't tried it yet but I have seen a work around using save as, I am currently uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if that helps but this has been happening since the September update with grim rewards. I do use mods, and I have been for quite some time, but this has never been an issue. I've checked through my mods folder deleting anything I think might be at fault as well as running scans with mccc and better exceptions, but nothing seems to be fixing this issue I've never had this problem before, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
Long initial load time and can't connect to gallery
About a month ago, the initial load time to get to the menu took a lot longer than normal. When I got to the menu, it was different because I wasn't connected to the internet. The gallery wouldn't connect. I continued playing this way for about 2 weeks. Then, without changing anything on my computer, it loaded fast and I was connected. I was able to get the first week rewards from the Reaper. 5 days ago it started loading slow with no connection again. I'm able to complete the Reaper events, but can't claim the rewards due to not being connected. I tried turning off anti-virus/firewall, moving Mods folder out, moving The Sims 4 folder out, flushing dns, repairing the game, switching from ethernet to Wifi. Nothing works. Any suggestions?
Infinite saving/loading screens
I originally started having this issue after the September update and saw other people were having the same issue and followed all the advice given. updated all mods removed all CC started a new save (with no CC) removed off-the-grid lot types switched back to DX9 Unfortunately, none of these worked so I decided to wait until the next patch and try again. After the October patch, I updated everything and it's still happening. Whether I'm loading/travelling with a family, exiting CAS, or saving when building on a community lot. I'm completely out of ideas of what I can do at this point; I have plenty of space on my PC and while loading can be slow sometimes, I know that's because I have quite a few packs and CC and I've never minded. But the infinite screens are getting too much, I can't play the game at all without running in to one and I end up losing any progress I've made. Really hoping someone can help or this bug can be lessened at least in the next update. 🤞
