fixing an error in sims 4

i've been playing for a while today and then suddenly when i wanted to move my sim to the gym it took me out of the place and it said that there was an error and that it would be better if i restart the game. The thing is that i don want to loose all of my progress in it. What is the best thing i could do? Is a case of a bug in my sims or even my computer.
