For Rent Purchase Marked Complete But Won’t Download

I have all DLC and my purchase history has “Complete” next to For Rent DLC. It’s not making sense why. I see that there were workarounds in December that are suggested but it does not work for me today. All dlc downloads fine EXCEPT For Rent.

TLDR: I don’t know if this is the EA App issue or if it’s related to a random action they took on my account due to another game.

I have reached out to EA help over Sims 4 For Rent only to be told about a sanction on my account for Dragon Age 2 — which I haven’t even opened since canceling my Game Pass Ultimate with Xbox which includes some form of EA Play. I’m now labeled a “criminal” to EA for not keeping a subscription I didn’t want to pay for. It’s considered a chargeback although I had no refund. I just cancelled my XBOX game pass ultimate. I have been told to essentially get over myself even though I just asked for help clarifying whether or not my account actually owns the pack or not.

I am blown away by lack of support or transparency especially when looking at my payment history, everything is completed and cleared. At this point I don’t care about any other game on this account besides the Sims and I can’t get a straight answer from agents about For Rent. It ends up just being them doubling down on my “charge back” offense therefore I’m guilty and that’s the only thing they bother to confirm.

  • For Rent DLC purchase is complete, it correctly displays that it's owned and in library. The cases I've created in order to request help identifying the issue have not been solved. Just looking for a solution to make this error stop. I've tried all methods listed on the forums.

Please attach a screenshot to your post of what you're seeing in the app when you attempt to repurchase this pack.

The money was sent back to EA from my brother so I don't need to repurchase, I just need the DLC functional as it's paid for *again(original was reversed). @EA_Solaire

Since the original charge was reversed, the pack was removed from the account. If you're still seeing that it's showing as owned in the EA app, you need to contact the Terms of Service team to review this further. We can't help with account actions here on the forums.

    1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
    2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose the EA app.
    3. Choose your platform.
    4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
    5. Click Select contact option.
    6. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

The money was returned to EA on the 26th of Jan. Also, none of the reports I send are responded to get a different response. I'm not suspended nor banned. I only get 'denied' and told they won't comment on the manner further. So even asking for assistance on making the dlc available to me once again gets this as a response. What do I need to say/what category should I go in now? @EA_Solaire ..

@EA_Solaire   So the screenshots weren't supposed to be uploaded? I would've gladly removed them on my own if I were told that. I understand I am not owed anything from an individual but as a company, the money has been received again--I should be granted the appropriate access. The screenshots did show the money was returned to EA. If I will never get the rights back to the pack, then EA shouldn't keep the money. This is a complex situation, I understand that, but I feel I have been unfairly treated. Especially due to the fact that I have a spotless purchase history that can easily be checked on their end. This is a first offense and one that I did not do on my own at that, I do NOT steal and have been trying to get assistance in dealing with this issue for two weeks. I have tried through the typical Help channels. Nothing.
