avalonniasims Please set an exception for EADesktop.exe in your antivirus, then try again.
If that doesn't help, uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), using the Advanced scanning method when asked. Restart your computer, reinstall the App, set the exception again, and try using the Gallery.
If that doesn't help either, try using a different network. For example, if your computer supports wifi, you could set your phone as a mobile hotspot, using data rather than your home network. Testing the Gallery shouldn't eat up too much data.
