Game constantly crashing
@jinajali Given your specs, it's not surprising that Sims 4 would crash on you so often. Your laptop has only 4 GB RAM, and its integrated graphics card is quite weak for the game. The processor is somewhat weak as well, although better, relatively speaking.
It's not completely obvious that your hardware is the cause of the crashes, but it's reasonably likely, especially considering that the error reports on the crashes don't point to any specific problem. TS4 could run out of physical memory (RAM), or video memory, or the graphics card could fail to keep up with demands; but it doesn't really matter the exact cause. This is a matter of managing the workload on your hardware, and saving often. Here are some useful steps:
- Don't run anything else while playing, not even a browser
- Turn your graphics options to the minimum, at least long enough to see how the game runs
- Play with your computer offline, again as a test: sign into Origin, put it in offline mode, and disable wifi or pull the ethernet cable
- Try a new save for comparison—older saves can get bogged down, especially on borderline machines
- Remove your entire Sims 4 folder from Documents\Electronic Arts, launch the game to generate a new folder, and test another new save
This will give you a more realistic idea of what you can expect from your laptop, how long you can play and under what conditions without overly frequent crashes.
