@24hours52weeks The FX 4300 cpu was released in 2012 so it is not a "new" cpu chip. AMD now makes the Ryzen cpu chip which supports DDR 4 memory. That said your computer should play this game. I see some update failures which could be causing issues. I don't see any storage information that is usually included in the dxdiag right after usb information. For some reason I have seen this omission before and is important to know this. There may be an issue because I see an error with the dxdig acquiring information and this could be tied to the update failures. You could display this information manually - size of storage device(s) and free space.
- Anonymous7 years agoMy dad said that it could be possibly trying to use the old hard drive he's using with the computer in addition to the one it came with? He took it out our old PC and used it in the new one, and it's pretty old so it might be causing problems.
Surprisingly, I turned laptop mode on and the game lasted longer than it usually does (about half an hour before crashing) so I'm beginning to think that there's an issue with the computer and not the game; this computer really shouldn't need laptop mode.
