A few things you could try:
Go the the directory C:\Users\[User name]\Documents\Electronic Arts\" and rename or move the folder "The Sims 4". Relaunch the game and try again. Your save files will be missing for now, but if the game works without the crashes, then move the "saves" and "tray" folder from the old "The Sims 4" folder into the new one to get back your old CAS and Save games.
If that doesn't work, you could try right clicking Sims 4 in Origin and Repair Game, and should this not work, you could try reinstalling completely.
Report back your findings. 🙂
when you say rename or move what exactly do you mean? Im not sure i follow.

He means that you have to rename the Sims 4 folder or move the folder to another folder. When you restart the game the game recreates new Sims folder.
And info to tech support: I deleted the whole Sims 4 folder and started the game again, but the game still crashes if I save the game. Travelling goes OK.- 11 years ago
Hey ahtis89, sorry to hear you're having problems again. Could you try running the game as administrator and try saving to verify it still crashes when doing so?

So this is where we are.
I found this one tip from this forum that I should delete the files under the hidden folder "ProgramData" > "Orgin" > "Sims 4" and that solved the save issue for now.
Now I started to run the game with admin and it works the same still. Saving the game works now.
I still have trouble that the game crashes when I travel between neighbourhoods. Any tips for that? Sometimes the crash happens when the loadin screen comes and sometimes it just happens after I have entered the neighbours.
