Game crashes on save..

Since the 2 new Kits released tonight (UK), I have been having problems with the save function.
It works a couple times, but then it goes onto the screen like it is going to save, the animation even goes round the dial. But then at the very last second it closes the game in full, no freezing, just a straight crash to the EA App.
It reloads the game fine after you click, I even repaired my game through the App thinking maybe something was conflicting, but alas, it still does the same no matter how many times you load the game and try to play.
It has made the gameplay hardly functionable, when you're having to save every 10 minutes for fear you'll lose your progress, to then have to hold your breath whilst the dial goes around saving, fingers crossed that it works that time!
It is not a PC hardware/software issue, it was only after this update - I also use no CC or Mods.
Is anyone else having this issue?
