Game crashes on startup (Black screen)

Hello, so I was able to launch Sims 4 version 1.46.18.1020 some hours ago but since then I haven't been able to play because whenever I start the game, it just crashes on a black screen. Literally no...

May I ask what files did you have to download, I am having the same problem here and I have tried everything..

Hey @mrz428,

I understand that you're having issues with your game crashing when you start it up.

But this thread has been inactive since 2018 and your issue might actually be different from what it was back then. So, I'm locking it and I would ask you to please start a new thread where you give us a few more details about the problem you're experiencing, for example:

Since when is your game crashing?

Are you playing via Origin or Steam?

What are your specs?

What steps have you taken so far (e.g. remove all mods/CC, repair game, clear Origin cache, update the Origin client ...)
