Game crashes repeatedly after installing "Adventure Awaits"

I recently bought the new expansion pack "Adventure awaits". After installing it, I started playing and shortly after that the game crashed and continues to crash every time since then. The first few times I was able to play for a few minutes, but now the game crashes almost immediately after it loads. I tried using the repair function in the lunch app, but it didn't help.

It should be noted that I play on PC and don't use MODs
