@dukaslove You can attach a screenshot to a reply here if you want. Put the game into windowed mode and use Windows key-shift-S to capture that portion of the screen, and you'll see a notification in the lower-right corner. You can click on that to view the image and save it. Then you can attach it to a post by clicking Browse, below the text field and above the Submit button.
Please let me know whether you can start a new save as well, and if not, what happens when you try.
Its during gameplay so i'm not sure how i'd show you. Its Moreso when I am at the loading screen after hitting resume, it loads to play as normal then bam right back at my desktop. So if I am being completely honest I do not know how to do the save thing properly. I think me trying that last time is what got my guy bald lol
Also thank you for keeping touch with me and trying. I know this sounds lame but I am emotionally attached to my games. I have had this game since it came out what 2014? 2016? Ive managed overtime to buy almost every single kit, game pack, stuff packs, etc. I believe I only have 3 games I do not own. So thats hundreds if not thousands on this game I cannot even play. Plus years of work into it. So I thank you thank you so much for trying to help. It has been devastating to say the least. Its my depression savor and I havent been able to play for 2 weeks.
Sorry for the sob story I KNOW it is just a game.
So thank you again. Truly!

@dukaslove Please try another clean folder: move your current Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game to spawn a new folder, don't add anything to it, not your old saves or any other files. This is just so we can start with a clean slate and separate issues with the old saves from issues with the game overall. Let me know what happens when you try to start a new save.
Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

I still play Sims 3 and own all packs except Katy Perry, plus most of the Store content, so I understand having an attachment to a Sims game. It doesn't sound lame at all to me, or to the many many others who've spent just as much time with one version or another as you or I have.
- 2 years ago@puzzlezaddict So I am going into my documents folder, electronic arts folder, sims 4 folder, and taking sims 4 out of that and putting it on my desktop?
When I did that before it said it didnt recognize my gamecard and then it had none of my games on there.
Did I do it wrong?- puzzlezaddict2 years agoHero+
@dukaslove You probably did it correctly before, but I'd like you to do it again now just to be thorough. The unrecognized graphics card message is designed to appear the first time you launch the game with an unrecognized GPU, and only then. But the information that you've seen this warning is stored within a file in the Sims 4 user folder, so removing the folder means the game thinks you haven't seen the warning yet.
Saves are also stored in this user folder, so moving the folder means your saves won't load in-game. It doesn't damage the save files themselves though; it just keeps them out of play for the time being.
If you drag the Sims 4 folder to the desktop and get a warning that there's already a folder with the same name, cancel the move and rename the folder instead. This accomplishes the same thing: the game won't find the folder if it doesn't have the correct name.
