So I tried that, this is what EA community posted on their page so I did this and it messed my game up even more. I went back in to go press "resume" and my sim was bald, whereas before I did the suggested save thing, he wasn't bald.
The steps I followed:
If The Sims 4 isn't working, see if a corrupted save file is causing issues by backing up and resetting the game. Here's how: 1. Copy-paste The Sims 4 folder to your Desktop or Home screen. 2. Delete the original folder and restart your device. 3. Test if the game runs normally.

Your bald sim after the update was because all mods and other custom content are disabled after most patches. You have to go to Gameplay Options to reenable mods. If you saved while your custom content was still disabled, your sim will stay bald from here on out.
