Game crashing after last update

Since the last update of 18th september, my game is crashing and it closes after 10 min of playing. I don't use any mods or cc. Is anyone having this issue?

  • @Sendenai  Please try forcing the game to run in DirectX 11 mode.  Open the EA App game library, click Sims 4, then Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 as a command line argument.  Even though DX11 isn't optimized for Intel graphics chips yet, it's an easy experiement.

  • @Sendenai  If you have any files in ConfigOverride, please delete them.

Otherwise, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you get another crash, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Sorry for my english, it's not my native language. I've forced the game to run in dx 11. I've been playing for 30 minutes aprox and it hasn't crashed, but I don't know if it'll end up crashing at some point because yesterday one of the crashes happened after 1 hour of playing. Also, I can't see properly some plants. They appeared like invisible but they're totally functional (I attach a picture) maybe it's because of dx 11 but at the moment that's the only "bug" in terms of graphics. I'll be checking dx 11 during the following days to see if it keeps crashing. Otherwise, turning the game into dx 11 was the solution but it's too soon to confirm.
