wizardhoney Thanks for the dxdiag. Try forcing the game to run in DirectX 11 mode. Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.
If you still can't load your main household, try a different household in the same save (use Load Game rather than Resume), and if that doesn't work either, a new save. This is just a test; I'm not saying you need to delete your existing save.
