Game crashing
Hello Everyone! I have had the sims 4 since early December of 2015, And I love the game so much! I don't play without cc, so some of you may not be able to help me! Anyway, My game has started freezi...
Ok, @slyytherinn, could you try to play with your saves but without your mods? Please, move your mods back to 'The Sims 4 freezing > Mods' folder, and play for a while without saving.
We want to introduce some files at a time, to check what files are causing the problem.

it has been awhile since I have updated, sorry. I have given up on the sims 4 for a bit and moved to the sims 3, but my teenager's feet glitch and its super annoying so I have also taken a break from that. As I have mentioned before, I did a completely UNMODDED 100 baby challenge with my friend, and my game worked perfectly fine. I was debating on removing my mods completely, but I prefer making sims in CAS then actually being in-game and I like having more options with customcontent. I'm really not sure what to do anymore, I just want to be able to play my game again and enjoy it like I did a few months ago.
Hi @slyytherinn,
It's good to be sure it's a mods issue now. What you can do is install your mods a few at a time, trying the game and making sure you know which ones you installed last. Once the game starts giving you issues, you know they are caused for one or more of the mods you last installed.
This way you can identify the mods that are causing problems and remove or update them.
Good luck! 🙂

The whole issue is, I have around 3,000 mods and taking them out one-by one would take probably 3 days haha. If I didn't take them out 1 by one, it would indeed be hard to tell which mods are the issue, so I'm hoping on just keeping my favorite mods and moving the others to a folder for a bit and see what happens .
Okay, so the whole issue is that my cc is in folders that are named such as "CAS_Genetics" which makes it hard to remove my cc easily. After I moved my 3 folders that I don't use often to my desktop and deleted my cache files after my friend told me that solved her issue, My game seems to get progressively worse. It now freezes for much longer, and in order for me to exit the game I need to turn off my laptop and turn it back on. It takes about 15 minutes for the gallery to even load up, and when I put a sim into CAS, I freeze every 2-3 minutes.
Hi @slyytherinn,
I would keep removing Mods, as it seems to still be a mods issue.
Remember you are using content that was not created by EA, and this can cause issues. 3,000 is a large number of files that could be incompatible with the game ☹️
Good luck,

Okay, here we go, back again to trying to figure out what the issue is.
Basically, I tried to play my game one last time without cc. Surprisingly, It froze multiple times, the exact same time span as when I play WITH cc. So, that led me to believe it was that my settings were too high, even considering that I have a very high priced gaming laptop that can handle games with much higher graphics than the sims. I lowered some of my graphics, which, did not work. It still froze. I deleted some of my cache files because someone had told me that can cause issues, and it also did NOT work.
To the point where I can't even go ingame anymore.
