Game Data Incomplete on Existing Save

I loaded up my Sims 4 game and got this error message! I haven't uninstalled any of my content. What do I do? How do I fix it? Please help!

I’ve always bought the packs as they came out and therefore haven’t used a trial like that. However I tested something and I figured it out! Apparently after the patch I forgot to check my mods/cc and once I did the error message went away! I got lucky, I guess. Thank you for the help!

  • @pinkyash10  Please clear Origin's cache:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

If that doesn't help, load the game to the Main Menu, where you can choose to load a save or start a new one, and check the version number, which will be either along the bottom of the screen or in the lower right corner.  Please list the entire number, i.e. 1.xx.xx.xxxx.

I followed the tutorial to clear my cache and repaired my game and the error message still occurred. My game version is 1.76.81.1020

@pinkyash10  Please start a new save and confirm that all your packs are in fact loading.  You can open Build/Buy and sort by pack to see which ones are listed, and please also send your sim traveling to see which worlds are available.  Let me know what, if anything, is missing.

I can travel to any of my worlds and it appears as though all of the items from the packs I have are there.

@pinkyash10  Is it possible you played the save with the error while one of the packs was offered on a trial basis?  I remember City Living was available as a trial a few weeks ago; maybe there was another one I didn't see.  Point is, if you'd played this save during one of these trials, now that it's over, you'd see this error, even if your sims themselves never visited the world in question.

Otherwise, it's possible the error is some sort of fluke you can ignore.  It's still a good idea to make a copy of your saves folder and store it elsewhere, in case you notice save corruption and want to restore the current version of this save or one of its backups.  But as long as you don't notice anything missing, you can play forward and see what happens.
