Game Freezes Constantly

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.70.84.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Game Packs All Expansions All Stuff Packs except Paranormal, Laundry Day and Cool Kitchen NO CC / Mods Ever
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? ? This happened after I installed Snowy Escape. Freezing is occurring in multiple households on the same save. It occurs frequently (feels like every 5 minutes.) It will often occur at the same point. Start save at home, visit lot, try same activity and it freezes 5 times in a row. But If I do something different it will not freeze immediately. Freezes most often when visiting community lots, but has occurred at home. I have tried splitting a household into a new one, evicting them and moving the back in and playing different households. I also made a back up of the sims 4 folder. Deleted main folder. Restarted the PC and restored the saved copy.
What happens when the bug occurs? Game freezes. I can pause the game and the paused icon comes on. Sims may fidget while on paused. If I try to press continue the sound happens but the paused icon doesn't. While frozen I cannot move the camera, switch characters, save, or exit the game. I have to power off since CTRL+ALT+Delete doesn't work. The Green Family was living with Straud in Forgotten Hollow. Sage was an actor with an audition. I played a different household when his audition was due. When I played him again his audition wouldn't cancel. I tried switching careers back and forth but the audition remains. I moved the Greens out into a new household. I cannot remember if I installed Snowy Escape before or after the move. The Greens wanted to go hiking at the bar/park in Mt Komorebi and kept freezing at the hiking sign. I tried multiple times in a row and on different game days. The kids visited the park at Oasis Springs. I saved there and it would freeze within a minute of loading. I moved Sage back into Straud's household. That household freezes. He froze at a lounge I made in Forgotten Hollow and the household froze at the Onsen Bathhouse while Sage wasn't present. I saved on the day of the festival of youth at home. I sent Sage to the festival and he kept freezing when ordering food. I played the Shell household and they seemed fine but they mostly stayed at home. The Descendant household froze at the festival of snow.
What do you expect to see? Game loads normally and will pay for more than 5 minutes. Bonus if the acting audition resets.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After Installed Snowy Day. No custom patches or non Maxis patches.

    I finally figured out while trying some of the advanced repair stuff that if you go into the origin game library and right click on the sims 4 there is a repair option. I checked six different posts and didn't find instructions on that anywhere. Maybe the repair worked or maybe EA fixed it behind the scenes. I just saw a few posts with similar issues after installing Snowy Day.

    I've played for a while without crashes now. Sage is still stuck with an  old, un-cancellable audition if you have him join the acting career. Still having some old errors including that pesky multiple notification for ghosts fading, and one of the Pollination Technicians leading a club. But the game seems to be playable now.

    To Answer Your Questions:

    I'm a rotational player with a save 3 plus years old. There are 6+ played households. I'm guessing the save was large.

    I think when the error hit the sims froze first. Not sure since my gut reaction is to hit the pause key and zoom around. The sims wouldn't go do what I wanted and then I couldn't switch to a different sim.

    Sometimes it let me move the camera, but not switch sims or do anything.  When I pressed pause it seemed like the sims kept fidgeting while the clock was stopped. When I tried to un-pause the sound would make the speed up sound, but it would not actually un-pause. The computer was so frozen I could not get task manager up to end the game. I had to power off the computer manually just to get free.

    I also got some messages that origin was unavailable during this timeframe, but not while in the game. That was when I was trying to figure out what the error was. I noticed Origin itself was eating all of my CPU and freezing a few times. None of these messages was visible when in game.
