Game Freezes Constantly

I finally figured out while trying some of the advanced repair stuff that if you go into the origin game library and right click on the sims 4 there is a repair option. I checked six different posts and didn't find instructions on that anywhere. Maybe the repair worked or maybe EA fixed it behind the scenes. I just saw a few posts with similar issues after installing Snowy Day.

I've played for a while without crashes now. Sage is still stuck with an  old, un-cancellable audition if you have him join the acting career. Still having some old errors including that pesky multiple notification for ghosts fading, and one of the Pollination Technicians leading a club. But the game seems to be playable now.

To Answer Your Questions:

I'm a rotational player with a save 3 plus years old. There are 6+ played households. I'm guessing the save was large.

I think when the error hit the sims froze first. Not sure since my gut reaction is to hit the pause key and zoom around. The sims wouldn't go do what I wanted and then I couldn't switch to a different sim.

Sometimes it let me move the camera, but not switch sims or do anything.  When I pressed pause it seemed like the sims kept fidgeting while the clock was stopped. When I tried to un-pause the sound would make the speed up sound, but it would not actually un-pause. The computer was so frozen I could not get task manager up to end the game. I had to power off the computer manually just to get free.

I also got some messages that origin was unavailable during this timeframe, but not while in the game. That was when I was trying to figure out what the error was. I noticed Origin itself was eating all of my CPU and freezing a few times. None of these messages was visible when in game.
