Game is CONSTANTLY freezing, I've done it all and I give up

I'm so annoyed. I've lost years of effort on this game. 27 generations in the bin. I've tried a fresh re-install, no mods no nothing, and it works, but even CC is now causing the game to crash, can't even get onto the main menu. I'm not even talking script mods. I can't copy save files across. I am livid. What the hell is happening? My PC has more than better specs to run this stupid game.

Don't tell me to move my CC out, repair, or any of the basic responses. It DOES NOT WORK. I have to start 100% from scratch and again can't even use custom content anymore. This game is an absolute joke.

    @23spindles  Have you tried a new Sims 4 folder?  Sometimes another file in that folder is the problem, and sometimes the Mods folder itself or the Resource.cfg file.  The clean folder is the fastest test, and if you can add cc to it and the game still works, you can copy over your saves and whatever else you want to keep.

    @puzzlezaddictThank you for your calm reply when I was absolutely raging in my original comment! Which Sims 4 folder would need to go? I'm assuming it's The Sims 4 folder located within the Electronic Arts folder and not the separate one?

    @23spindles  Yes, the Sims 4 folder inside Documents > Electronic Arts is the one to move.  There's no need to mess with the game's program files, at least not at this point.
