KooKooBear Please test with no mods or custom content just to confirm that's not the issue.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I forgot to mention that it's been crashing with games other than the Sims. So I'm guessing it's an issue with my device.

I don't know why but i remove some of my save files and finally loaded. The sad apart of about that it was the save file I was currently playing. But at least I can play for now until I figure why it doesn't like those save files

I thought it could also be my saves, but then the same thing happened when I was playing a game on Steam. I'd be playing like normal, and then the screen would go black, like it does when it's turning on, and I can't use the cursor or anything like that. I've been saving the game every few minutes to avoid losing progress but it's aggravating having to reload the game so often.
