Game Keeps Crashing (Tried Everything)

My game has been crashing since Jan 2025 and I've tried everything to fix, but nothing works. I've taken out all mods, started a new save, stopped overclocking, updated my graphics driver to the most...

    Hi, I did do a clean uninstall and reinstall using the Display Driver Unistaller but that didn't help. I ended up just playing the game and letting it crash a couple times and going back to solve whatever issue popped up in my Reliability Monitor and doing some research until my game started working. It looks like my Intel Turbo Boost was enabled, despite my PC no longer being overclocked. For anyone's future reference, I went into my BIOS, then went into my OC settings (I have msi Click BIOS 5), and found the Intel Turbo Boost under "Advanced CPU Configuration" and disabled it. For anyone with a different settings setup, you should be able to find the Turbo Boost under the "Performance" section of your BIOS. Anyway, I reset my computer and now my game works again. Thank you so much for your help!!!!

xombie_potion  Did you update your graphics driver, or did you clean-uninstall and reinstall it, like I was suggesting?  They're not the same, even if you chose to do the Nvidia version of a clean install of the new driver.  Please use Display Driver Uninstaller if you haven't already.

The BlueScreen with code 20001 is a hypervisor error, related to running a virtual machine, but that doesn't necessarily mean that a VM is directly responsible.  Still, are you running one?  Do you use other virtualization software at all?  If you do, please make sure it's not running while you play Sims 4.

For the second error, the "Sims 4 stopped working" one, did the game crash while you were in CAS, Build/Buy, or live mode?  The crash itself doesn't have enough information to be useful (the game crashed because it crashed because it did something that wasn't allowed), but the context might be interesting.

Additionally, have you overclocked any components of your PC?  If so, please return everything to stock settings, at least while we're troubleshooting the issue.
