Game keeps crashing

Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me figure out why my game suddenly started crashing. I have removed mods that I thought were the problem, I have removed gshade, and it still crashes. I haven't installed anything new as I was playing and then all of a sudden it crashes each time I load in and start decorating. I also tried repairing the game and that still did not work. I need help, please someone help. I'd appreciate it so much, thank you!

@GoddessGamer317  Please try switching the game to DirectX 11 mode.  You would normally see the option to use DirectX 9 mode included with the other graphics settings, in the lower-right corner.  If you've checked this box, uncheck it and restart the game.

If you don't see this option, open your EA App game library, choose Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and you might see -dx9 in the command line box.  If it's there, remove it.  The game should use DX11 automatically on your system.

In either case, you can check which mode the game is using at the Main Menu, in the lower-right corner, after the version number.

If you get another crash, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor.  Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day.  Today is on the right.

Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent Sims 4 crash, specifically in DX11 mode.  If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here.  If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.

@puzzlezaddict Hello, I was using dx11 at first and thought that was the reason the game was crashing so I switched. Plus my items wouldn't load and my game was lagging really bad using that one so I switched back.

@GoddessGamer317  This crash is still from DirectX 9 mode.  You can tell because the application name is TS4_DX9_x64 rather than TS4_x64.  So either it's an older crash or you didn't successfully switch back to DX11 mode.
