Game lag

The game is basically unplayable. Last week it blue screened on create-a-sim, then I restarted the app and I could barely use it at all and had to force shutdown. I have repaired the EA App, and repaired Sims twice now and I don't know what to do. I've deleted so many households in case that was the issue, and it has improved but the game is still on a lag and for some reason the floor is not there/shining white instead of loading?

  • indiaruby1  Sorry for the late reply.  If you still need help, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.  Let me know which issues are still present.

I would also like to see a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
