I have been playing a lot (not for the first time) in the past few days. Then today, all of a sudden, I cannot save, make new outfits, or go to work with my sim (actor). The game says "game loading in progress". I do not use any mods or unofficial content, yet I just wasted many hours of play because of this. What is going on?
I don't know when it started. Before now, the game has always worked fine, so I save when I quit. I had to go back and lose all the progress, which now makes me leery of the game's stability. I had been playing for some hours, so I can't imagine it's because the game was still loading. Having no option but to lose all the progress is not a good option. The game needs to work.
Fortunately, when I reloaded, the problem was gone. I keep my eye on it now, but it has added a minor source of anxiety to a form of generally relaxing entertainment
That is what I am doing now.
