After installing the update, my Sims 4 game also stopped responding for about 30 seconds and then the pop up letting me know that I had the new Holiday Content installed came up and I was finally able to continue on to the main menu/start screen. My friend was having the same issue, the game would stop responding but would never force close itself. After having her do a repair install and restart of her PC, the game still "hanged" and gave her the "Not Responding" notice at the top of the window. I told her to let it run for a few minutes to see if the game would "catch up" and after about a 3 minute wait the game finally continued on and she was good to go. So if you guys can, you might want to try letting it "catch up" before force closing it even if it takes a few minutes. I know its not a fix, but might be worth trying for now until someone is able to find out whats causing the problem.

I did that "lessthanzero" and works. But another problem appeared.
The sound game is denied and I don't know why. I can hear a too low music and the effects sounds just gone, but in the menu is in the maximum.
I can't use [Alt] + [Tab] anymore because crash the game with the message "Not Responding" again. It really works, but bring some issues together. :catsad:
