Game not responding or loading properly

I have been having this issue for a couple of weeks now. I thought I had resolved it, but sadly, it’s increasingly frustrating. I will not lie; I have quite a few mods, which I know is a risk, but I ...

    @wils8914  Does the lot you're trying to load use the Off the Grid challenge?  If so, please load the lot in Build mode and remove it.  You can choose Load Game rather than Resume and select the lot from there.

    Even if you're not using OtG, it's still worth trying to load any broken lots in Build mode, and seeing whether you can load other households within the same save.  Let me know either way.

    Please also test without any mods or custom content at least once, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.  You don't need to save your progress—this is just for testing—but it's important to establish whether the problem is currently linked to anything in your Mods folder.  As for why it would happen now and not earlier, there are a few possibilities that aren't worth getting into unless this helps.
