Game not saving! - Sims 4 2022

Since yesterday whenever /i go on to play Sims 4, if I try to save even if it's after one second, it just freezes on the saving loading screeen and never moves from there nor does it actually save. I also noticed that when I go in to play a household, the thumbnails of each sim at the bottom of the screen is missing, or maybe only one or two show up. And in manage worlds mode, when I hover over some households their picture doesn't show up just the loading wheel.

I've tried restarting several times including restarting my PC, I've tried deleting cache files, fixing the game on origin, I've got enough memory on my PC (I believe!), I feel like I've tried everything everything! Please help

I use an HP laptop with windows 11 an play via Origin app.

    Hi!! I was having the same problem so i followed your directions. It ended up saving fine once removing the files, what is the next step?

    @3sth3r-F1n63r  You can add your content to the new Sims 4 folder and test.  You don't need to move everything, just the files in saves, Tray, and Mods, that is if you use mods or custom content.  (Keep the new resource.cfg the game generated either way.)

    You can keep an eye on the thread for updates, and in the interim, use "save as" to get around the problem.

    I moved trays, mods, and saves, and retested. It continues to say error code 0. Do you think I have a mod that might be glitching my game?

    @3sth3r-F1n63r  This is happening to people even without mods, so while a mod might be responsible in your case, it's not certain.  Please just use the master bug thread I linked, and whenever you get the error, use "save as" rather than "save."
