Game Opens to White Screen

Haven't played Sims 4 in about a year, decided to play it again and can't get the game to run.  Every time I launch I get a white screen and nothing else.  I can't close out of the white screen either...I have to restart the computer each time.  I've tried opening Sims 4 as admin, through GeForce, and through Origin but can't get past the white screen.  I've run the repair option, reinstalled the game, and have verified that all my drivers are up to date.  I have no mods installed either.

My system is more than capable to run Sims (2080Ti, i9-9900K, 32 gigs of ram) and all my other games run just fine so I'm fairly certain my hardware isn't at fault.  Any suggestions?

  • @BobbythaB  Please try disabling Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.

If that doesn't help, please move your entire Sims 4 user folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to it yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.  Let me know either way.

If you can't play even in a clean folder, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
