Game will not launch, says it is on EA's end

Yes, I have the same issue. I paid alot for all my games and so frustrated with these updates breaking the game.

I had the same issue, and somehow my saves folder was a shortcut to one located elsewhere. Once I found where the other saves folder was, I moved it to its intended location, so it wasn't a shortcut anymore. This seemed to fix it. 

Mine started this a couple of hours ago... I tried repairing.... no luck...... 

Where was the other saves folder.... I have searched all of the folders..... I only see the one. Thanks... help is much appreciated. 

For me, it was on an external hard drive somehow. But since it's probably not for you, it might be another issue.

I'm having the same issue. I'm so frustrated. I opened a report on all of this but have heard nothing. it started with none of my mods working and breaking my game and once I fixed that now my game wont launch. I've spent hundreds if not thousands on my sims4 game. this has been happening since the last update. 

It's the same for me. I have spend a full day trying to locate the broken mods after the update as I couldn't enter into any household. And now when I finally got it, turns out I cant start the game. It says the game can't launch and to try later. Honestly, it's so frustrating. 

UPDATE: It was a clothing package that I downloaded for my elderly Sim that was the problem... I removed ALL my CC mods/packages..... and the game started right up...... added them back a few at a time until I found the offender.... The problem is the error message makes it look like you are waiting on EA to fix something... when really..... the fault is something you added.... and they are not coming to your rescue... at least in this particular instance. And the Problem is NOT on their side. 

I fixed it. Turns out that all this problem was due to a mod. I didn't think of that possibility as hadn't had any problem with it before. Even when I was still searching for broken mods. It was all of sudden when I couldn't start the game. I sorted through mods and it turned out to be an script file called "Adeepindigo_ItsKatato_Preteen_Base_v1.9" . I would recommend anyone with this problem to search on their files and do the 50/50 method. Good luck
