Game won’t launch

I contacted EA support and they said the problem is with the game, not with us. They are trying to fix it and ask us to be patient.

This is the original message:
"Thanks for waiting, from what I see we already have this ongoing issue with this reported by many of our players. The good thing is that this has been brought to the attention of the concerned team and they are working diligently to resolve it as soon as possible. I would ask you to wait for some time until the issue is resolved. I know no one likes to wait, however rest assured that the team is actively working on it.

Also, I would ask you to stay connected to the official website and Twitter profile for updates and be the first to have future details.
Don't worry, the team is already working on it and many players are facing the same issue, but since it is widespread it is taking a little longer than expected, but we hope to resolve it soon."

Hi, I have the same problem. I even deleted and reinstalled the sims.

 Problem remains. Can't play anymore.

I hope they can fix it soon.

I have the same issue. No mods. Have un-installed and reinstalled the game. It freezes during the loading screen and is completely unplayable. 

I have the same problem. I've tried game repair. I've tried clearing game and EA cache.

LipSmacker2 redhead0966  Please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I’m have the same issue as well. I’m hope EA fixes this issue soon because I still have finished the grim reaper challenges. 

It's the same here, but mine is saying it cannot load the household. Is anyone else having issues with this?

KueiMei  I don't see the dxdiag here.  Please try attaching it again.  By the way, this is not an EA-side issue, at least not entirely, so I wouldn't wait for EA to fix it.  This is a system issue, something about the way the computer's software interacts with Sims 4.  That means it's on the user to fix it.

lostinusa73  Thanks for the info.  If you're willing to share, I'd like to see a dxdiag from your computer, so I can compare it to others with the same issue.

katiehumen Sherlock2watson  Please try the clean user folder, as described above, and if it doesn't help, provide a dxdiag as well.

Elliecats  Please post a screenshot of the error you're seeing.  If you use any mods or custom content, please also remove the Mods folder and let me know whether that helps.  You don't need to save your progress; this is just for testing.

Sure, on Windows 11 it’s under settings -> system -> display -> multiple display.  I toggled OFF both options there. Screenshot below (in Dutch though 😊)

I think I've figured out what the problem is - at least on my computer. My NVIDIA video card driver update also happened last night and something went wrong. Geforce Experience had a blank screen too, so I uninstalled the NVIDIA driver and guess what? My Sims game launches from the integrated video card. I can't really play it from that as the integrated card is crap but it DOES run. (I'm re-installing the video card driver now - fingers crossed it works.)
