( if it is moded ) If you are still have problems an are using mods make sure all the mods are up to date this is only if you are using mods
(if you dont have mods ) try changing the the graphics in settings for that you can lower it in setting.
note some laptops can not handle high graphics an will tend to make your game not work right

Could you inform me what graphics card you have exactly? I suspect from the description of this laptop that it is not a dedicated card but an integrated Intel chip. 4 GB RAM is not too much if you have a weak integrated graphics card because it will consume most of this RAM memory without leaving too much memory for the game. It will cause that your sim will wait a while before taking any action, and the task queue will expire quickly. After downloading Cat and Dogs computer may not turn on at all with such a card.
Have you downloaded the latest graphics drivers for this card after purchasing this laptop? Do you have all Windows updates? This could be known from DXDiag but I see you have a hard time doing it.- 6 years ago@kreatora I have my windows updated but not the ghaphics cards. If I need to get that updated too I'll go to the intel driver website.

@MoonYuzuki It would help to see a dxdiag on your computer. You can run one and attach it to a post:

I agree, 4 GB RAM isn't a lot these days, and it's not really enough for Sims 4 to run properly. But you shouldn't be getting a white screen at launch—low memory will usually cause lag and crashes. This could definitely be a graphics card driver issue, even if it's updated; or it could be something else. A dxdiag will cover a lot of possibilities at once.
