Game wont start
I've been having issues with my game fully starting. When clicking on it, the screen will temporarily flash white and then display the message "Can't run The Sims 4 with the video card in this system...
sd006 Again, you can only repair a Steam install in Steam.
What happens now if you try to play Sims 4? Are you getting the same error, or a different one, or none at all? I'd also like to see any new system errors related to your trying to launch the game. Click Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to open Sims 4. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
puzzlezaddict I ended up fixing the problem! I narrowed it down to a file that I needed to restart my computer in safe mode to delete. Thank you very much for the help, I appreciate that you walked me through this.
