GeekCon Ultimate Gaming Test and Hackathon unavailable

GeekCon Challenges are not available to my Sim. I've reloaded my save multiple times and it never shows up. My sim has level 10 programming and videogaming and yet the option is not available, even after the "GeekCon Challenges have begun!" See screenshot: 

The "Ultimate Gaming Test" is not in any submenu and supposed to be at the top level menu with a festival tent icon. The Hackaton option is also missing on the computers. I cannot complete my city living life aspiration without this. I've been trying to do this for "weeks"!

    Ok I think I figured out what might be causing this. My sim was supposed to be at work during the festival. I continuously clicked on the gaming rig waiting for the option to appear. The moment my sim got paid for their vacation day (their work day ended), the option appeared.

    I’m having this trouble too. None of the GeekCon challenges show up as an option for me on the computer or motion gaming rig. But it will let me explore space in the rocket😂 My sim hasn’t been there during work hours & they’ve gone twice. Not sure what the problem is

    Have you figured it out you press on the computer click on more and it’s there

    The interactions only seem to unlock if you're there at certain times of the day, like 11:30 AM.
