get famous actor career stuck on loading screen

hi! everytime my sim tries to go to a gig, the loading screen comes up and "end loading" sound happens and my mouse changes as I move around the screen as if the career loaded and I can select objects, but my game is still stuck on the loading screen. I've been removing my mods seeing if I can get it to work and I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem.
