Glitch!

I'm unsure if the cheat is standard with the game but you could try testingcheats and then shift-click in the table and reset it.

If that doesn't work and you're not opposed to mods, I would give the debug mod a try (just google, I'm not allowed to link). That should have an option to force-delete an object

I  had this same issue  Im  trying to remember how I got rid of the table. Try just deleting the table although  i dont remember that working at first it did after a few hours. You  cant get the statues back from what i can  tell its a glitch  with the flea market tables i have 13 my sims statues, 10 crystals and 2 frogs i cant do  anything with because my  sim doesn't have options for them and when i  go into my  build inventory to  place they disappear. but  back  to your table issue if you cant delete the tables try closing out your game completely  and then  try again  i didnt have to use any special  code or cheat to get rid of my  table.  

Did you also use moo ?

I tried the shift clicking and that didn't work so I just installed the mod, unsure if I did it correctly. I'll update this in a second>

I can't find a working debug mod? can you tell me the name of one? the one on mod the sims didn't work>

Moveobjects

I was having this exact same issue when trying to place a lot in an empty apartment. Try turning on the bb.moveobjects on cheat. That worked for me!
