your card is fine, should work with that
please try the following things
- See if it starts in Windowed Mode: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/playing-the-sims-4-in-windowed-mode/
- Turn off Origin In Game
- If you have a dual graphics system, make sure the game runs on the card and not the chip
- Uninstall and reinstall your graphics drivers
- Rollback to earlier graphics dirvers
- Right click on the game in Origin and press repair game

1 and 3 are No Gos. It originally started in windowed mode to begin with. And I do not have a dual graphics card system (and even if I didn't) I already said that I made sure that was set anyway. Turning Origin In Game off did nothing as did repairing the game. I'm not going to do the drivers, because the game recognized the old graphics card (and they use the same set of drivers) and this is a brand new build.
I'll just live with the game not recognizing my card; it still plays. Its just annoying.
