Grey film over sims 4 home screen

Did you try pressing the ESC key ?
Yes I've pressed every button and the game doesn't go on. I've had the game 3 days and still have yet to even play it. As soon as it loads that's the first screen I see and can't even hit play in the sims 4 welcome screen. As soon as I click no matter where at in the screen, the big diamond pops up and there is no going ahead.
Then try right-clicking on the game in Origin and hit repair game.
- Tried that as well. I also uninstalled both the game and origin and redownloaded them both, nothing worked.
Very weird. It's quite common but for most it works to either repair or hit ESC to go past the screen.
Is it always the same reward it hangs on ?
