Red and white content with no CC
On Saturday I installed Business and Hobbies and it seemed to significantly corrupt my game/game files. I have done full install and reinstalls of my game, all DLC and even the EA App. Initially, everytime I tried to install Business & Hobbies it BSOD'd my PC. My PC has never struggled with TS4 - I'll include my specs.
I have managed (with about 7 hours of constant BSOD) to get the the point all of my packs are installed, but both Lovestruck (which I have owned for some time and played with with no issues previously) and Business and Hobbies are showing all of their CAS and build mode content as red/white check. I understand this is normally the sign of broken CC or mods but I have never downloaded any CC or mods to my game.
Initially the content for both was not working at all, but with uninstalling and reinstalling the specific EPs I have got to the point only the preview is broken but I can still use the items. As you can imagine though, this is still really annoying (esp in build mode).
Has anyone experienced this or have any tips for me? My EA app and Steam are linked so I unfortunately have very little power in the EA app (I can do app recovery and restart, but I can't unistall anything - it all has to be done in Steam which only seems to let me control the EPs I have bought there. To uninstall I have to actually delete the EP file in my drives).
List of things I have tried so far:
- Updated drivers
- C++ update (I think - I can't exactly remember what this was, but it was a windows suggested fix)
- SFC/scannow and fixed files
- Uninstalled EA App, game in EA and Steam and reinstalled (I am reluctant to do this again as I spent many hours dealing with BSOD trying to get everything reinstalled)
- Deleted a antivirus (I think this is what stopped the BSOD, which seems to now be resolved)
