@RegularRaven Do you want to build the computer, or would you rather buy a prebuilt model, or perhaps a custom build, if the price is right? Is your budget in U.S. dollars or some other currency? Does this include a monitor?
I will say that you can get a computer that's overpowered for Sims 4, plus a very nice monitor, for a lot less than $2,500 U.S. By "overpowered" I mean "will run all Sims 4 content on ultra settings without coming close to maxing out any of the components." So if you have any other preferences, for example you want a white system, please let me know. If you're building your own or ordering a custom system, you can get pretty much whatever you want, but there's still plenty of variety in the prebuilt category as well.
Please disregard the official minimum and recommended specs. They're for the base game only, or the base game plus one expansion at a time, and they've barely been updated since Sims 4 was released. They also don't represent how demanding the game currently is.
Currently, I'm already on a gaming pc, but as you mentioned i'm well past base game only so yeah--I am looking to make something a little bit stronger and on the custom side.
I'm at the stage where I'm doing research on different parts before I commit to buying.
