Help choosing a laptop for The Sims 4 which will work with CC and mods

Hi everyone,  My laptop had just stopped working, so I’m on the lookout for a new one. I’ve got a couple in mind, but would really appreciate if anyone could offer advice on what to look for, or any...

@nu2jeqftotm7  This is a very reasonable choice for £350, if you'd like to stay at that price point.  It should be able to handle Sims 4, all current packs included, on medium-high to high graphics settings.  The 8 GB RAM isn't ideal, but it should be fine as long as you don't have much else open while you play.  The 256 GB storage is also enough for Sims 4, although you'll need to keep your custom content collection to a reasonable size, say 100 GB or less.

If you're willing to go to £400, this laptop has the same processor and graphics chip (meaning performance should be about equal) but twice the memory and storage:

This is an alternative with equivalent hardware:

I'm not seeing anything else at or below £400 that's as good as the ones above, at least not new.  I can look at used laptops too if you're interested, but they're not going to be better than the two above, at least not until a higher price point, because the next-higher tier (other than some very new laptops that wouldn't be on the used market yet) is comprised of laptops with gaming-level hardware.

If you have more questions, please feel free to ask.
