this is my rig benchmark numbers....

It looks ok to me, why am I still freezing up in SIMS 4, have the latest drivers and even rolled it back to test... I have been fighting this for nearly 2 weeks. EA poked around remote to look at it and Microsoft even did a remote check. and it still freezes causing a reset or pops up it stopped working and needs to close

Can some one help me??

  • @Sp1r1tWo1f Are these random crashes or does it seem to crash at the same time and/or place? What do you mean by "freezing"? Does the game totally lock up? Does the game stutter? Did the game ever run right? What resolution are you set for? How many displays do you have? Do you have something in the background running using a lot of cpu time? Benchmark scores are fine and gives a measure of performance but in the end they are only good for bragging rights. If you strip every service that isn't absolutely needed and run the benchmark it will probably be even better. But that is not the way a typical user runs his computer. How are you connected to the display? Is your display 4k? 8k (yes there is 8k)?

    My computer

    AMD FX6100 (does the job)

    8 Gb main memory

EVGA GTX 960 (recently upgraded from an EVGA GTX550Ti) so I'm DX12 for Fallout 4

My computer was Windows 7 pro and recently decided to upgrade to windows 10 pro all by itself. I was going to do it anyway but I wanted to do it on my terms. Spent a day cleaning up and making sure nothing was damaged. I think I lost one program in the upgrade. Shortly after I put the GTX 960 in and a couple of reboots and I was running DX12. TS4 runs without a hitch. Today I tried TS3. The launcher comes up but won't run. Then I put Seasons disc in the drive (my latest to market pack) and hit run. Now I get a message about packs and I hit cancel. Then it said it didn't recognize my video card and is setting everything to max. Holding my breath the game loads and runs. And it runs good.

@roberta591     Yes random not in the same house or lot etc...  "Freezes" the screen is there I see everything clear and beautiful it just STOPS no mouse movement no music not nothing. Yes SIMS 4 ran right for over 500 hours play .  I got the go to work pack all was good. I don't think WIN 10 updated. I have made sure all drivers are updated. I have had Microsoft remote tech and EA remote tech it still is not working .

Should I scrub the drives and redo the system ???
