Vandamm593 The Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag point to a component of Windows that's unlikely to be corrupt, given that your computer works at all. Still, please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards. Please also disable Game Mode and Game Bar, both under Windows Settings > Gaming.
If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

First off thank you so much for responding!
This has been pushing to the verge of tears for the past three weeks!First, I disabled Game Mode and Game Bar.
Then, I did the resorehealth prompt and the scannow prompt.
After I did the scannow the message I got was
"Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
Next, I restarted my computer, checked for updates (didn't have any) and restarted again.
Lastly, I moved the Sims 4 folder like mentioned in you post. I launched the game, and it loaded in! It also spawned a new folder. Hearing that into music almost made me shed a tear! And it did save!
I did notice a spicy mod I added at one point. I wonder if that could be the issue. Broken cc?
It's not in the mod folder but in the game file as a folder its-self.- puzzlezaddict4 months agoHero+
Vandamm593 The issue could easily be a certain kind of adult mod. We can't really provide support for those (site rules), but if you want to go back to using it, the Sims After Dark Discord is a good resource. Or you could install a fresh copy and see what happens. Worst case, the game stops working, and you trash the new Sims 4 folder and let the game create another one.
Broken cc can also prevent Sims 4 from opening, although it's somewhat less common.
Anyway, I'm glad your issue is fixed now.
